JOY World Heyball Masters originated from the "JOY Black-Eight Ranking Event" in 2006, and began to go global in 2012, upgrading to the World Heyball Masters. After 18 years of development, the current event system covers 69 countries worldwide, with over 80 million enthusiasts, making it the largest professional pool league in the world. The champion prize money has increased from the initial 8,000 yuan to 5 million, which is 625 times that of 18 years ago, surpassing the World Snooker Championship to become the billiards event with the highest champion prize in the World.
At present, with the promotion of JOY Billiards, Heyball has become a discipline of the WCBS championship and become one of the four mainstream cue sports in the world on par with snooker. It has been included into the 2025 Chengdu World Games. In the future, we are still seeking to promote Heyball to be included into Southeast Asian Games, the 2030 Qatar Asian Games, and so on.
In the new season, JOY will make comprehensive efforts overseas. According to the cooperation agreement with the WPA, JOY will invest over $6 million in event funds over the next three years to support the hosting of multiple international events and accelerate Heyball's inclusion into the Olympic Games.
